Starting January 1, 2024, a new Category I CPT code, 31242 will be effective for the endoscopic destruction of posterior nasal nerves (PNNs) using radio frequency ablation, as is performed with the NEUROMARK procedure. This new code will support the appropriate valuation of PNN ablation and help improve access for a broad range of chrnoic rhinitis (CR) patients.
